With categories for a variety of sizes and styles, exhibitors have the opportunity to share their work, compete for prizes, and even qualify for OAAS competition opportunities. Whether your quilt is classic, detailed, or uniquely designed, this is a wonderful way to highlight your talent and passion for quilting.

CLASS 37 - HAND QUILTING

  • NOTE: Exhibitor must have constructed, hand quilted and finished the quilt; If known, name of pattern should be indicated on entry tag.
  • Quilting means having a top, batting and a back. Quilts must be bound and have all three layers stitched together in lines/patterns. Attach a sample of backing and batting.

CLASS 38 - MACHINE QUILTING

  • NOTE: Exhibitor must have constructed, quilted and finished the quilt. If known, name of pattern, should be put on entry tag.
  • Quilts must have visible machine quilting and not be quilted using a long arm machine.
  • Quilting means having a top, batting and a back. Quilt must be bound and have all three layers stitched together in lines/patterns. Attach a sample of backing and batting.
  • Sizes are approximate. Maximum is slightly less than minimum size of the next section, unless specifically stated in description.

CLASS 41A - HAND QUILTING: OAAS COMPETITION

 

  • NOTE: First-place winner of specific Hand Quilting entries is eligible to compete in the OAAS Competitions (does not require separate entries).
  • The quilt can be square, rectangular etc. however total perimeter must be a minimum 280” to qualify.
  • All sides must be measured to determine the perimeter measurement.


Prize: Local winner can enter quilt to compete in OAAS District / Provincial Competitions


1447. BEST HAND QUILTING ENTRY: chosen from machine quilted entries in the following Classes: Class 37, Class 40 and Class 70



CLASS 41B – MACHINE QUILTING: OAAS COMPETITION

  • NOTE: The first-place winner of specific Machine Quilting entries are eligible to compete in the OAAS Competitions (does not require separate entries). Machine quilt must be solely made and machine quilted by the exhibitor.
  • The quilt can be square, rectangular etc. however total perimeter must be a minimum 280” to qualify.
  • All sides must be measured to determine the perimeter measurement.


Prize: Local winner has opportunity for quilt to compete in District /Provincial Competitions


1448. BEST MACHINE QUILTING ENTRY: chosen from machine quilts entered in the following Classes: Class 38, Class 39, Class 40, Class 41 and Class 70



CLASS 42 – SECOND PARTY QUILTED, HAND AND/OR MACHINE

  • NOTE: Exhibitor must have constructed and finished the quilt, however another person/professional must have completed the quilting. If known name of pattern should be indicated on entry tag.
