Welcome to our 119th Fall Fair! Our theme this year is “The Wild West” we are excited to see how that theme
translates into our parade floats and costumes! With this theme we celebrate the western culture and all the great
things that we have going on agriculturally in our area.
We are proud of our event, our volunteers and our sponsors who make it all possible. I would personally like to
thank our amazing group of directors and volunteers for the many hours they have invested in this event to ensure
it’s something we can all be very proud of.
We hope that you take time to enjoy all that our Fair has to offer. We have a very full three-day schedule, with
something for everyone.
Our exhibit hall boasts the talents of many local exhibitors. Everything from handcrafts to baking, photography to
produce. Our area is thriving with local artists and producers! Check out the new Vendor Alley and support our
local artists and vendors.
Come visit our education tent where the learning never ends and new information and skills are waiting for you!
Stroll through the barns and help us celebrate our local farmers as they show us their award-winning livestock and
poultry. Stop at the horse arena to watch some exciting horse show activity and join us Friday night at the cattle
ring for our annual market steer auction, where we celebrate the success of our local 4-H youth.
Make sure you visit our food booths to support local businesses and service clubs and enjoy the daily entertainment
on the Moody stage.
Don’t forget to take in the midway, the view of the Fair can really be appreciated from the top of the Ferris Wheel!
We pride ourselves on having something for everyone to enjoy, we can’t wait to share it all with you!

Dryden and District Agriculture Society is one of six fairs in the District 15 Region. Other societies include
Canadian Lakehead Exhibition, Hymers, Murillo, Rainy River Valley District and Kenora. Representatives from
each fair meet bi-annually to discuss common fair interests and concerns and to arrange judging schools to ensure
our judges are OAAS certified. We are also a member of the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies
(O.A.A.S.) with delegates attending the OAAS annual convention. Location and dates of other fairs across Ontario
can be found at ontarioagsocieties.com/our-fairs.
The objectives of this Society shall be to encourage interest, promote improvements in and advance the standards of agriculture, domestic industry and rural life by:
1. Researching the needs of the agricultural community and developing programs to meet those needs.
2. Promoting the conservation of natural resources and encouraging the beautification of the agricultural
community.
3. Supporting and providing facilities to encourage activities intended to enrich rural life.
4. Holding an annual agricultural fair, featuring competitions for which prizes may be awarded.
5. Develop and promote educational programs and competitions for the purpose of creating youth awareness of
